MAURO SENISE
Born in Rio de Janeiro, in May 1950. he started his studies on classical flute in 1970 with Odette Ernst Dias and saxophone with Paulo Moura. As his desire was to be a soloist, he directed his career to instrumental music, working with Wagner Tiso, Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti. For several times he played in Europe and the United States, besides countless tours in Brazil. All those activities brought to Mauro several awards. He recorded two Cd's: "Mauro Senise" (88) and "Jade" (89). In partnership with piano player Gilson Peranzetta, Mauro recorded two others CD's: "Uma parte de nós" (90) and "Vera Cruz" (92). In 1995 he recorded a CD with Romero Lubambo, at Nine Hundred Studios, in New York. He also developed a work on classical music with Rosana Lanzelotte (clavier) and David Chew (cello).
